Witthüser & Westrupp's Zu den Jahreszeiten off of the album Bauer Plath

It’s always exciting to stumble across a good folk band. I wish I understood even just a little German though :S

The 30-Day Music Meme

Day 03 — A song that makes you happy:

Easily my favourite Joni Mitchell song, its triumphant wit always makes me smile, especially this version from The Last Waltz.

Amazing Blondel's Leader Of The Band off of the album Mulgrave Street

Sorry for the low quality; the mp3 seems to be a fairly crackly vinyl rip. I wanted to share this anyway, because this band is so wonderfully odd. They were a straight-up Renaissance folk band, playing period instruments and forgoing percussion, but then in the mid-70s changed gears a bit and started releasing slightly progressive rock. Kind of neat.
